Mid Island Car Service remains one of the few car services on Staten Island that is still owned and operated by the same family that opened it’s doors over 25 years ago. Their “Mom & Pop” approach to running the business has helped to position Mid Island as Staten Island’s leading car service. By focusing on passenger safety and by providing excellent quality service, Mid Island has continued to grow and gain notoriety as a premier car service.

Co-Owner Arthur Grover has over 30 years experience in the car service industry. He is a former President of the Staten Island Livery Association. During his 10-year tenure, Arthur was the driving force in acquiring roof lights on all cabs in Staten Island to help with safety and recognition. Staten Island is the only Boro in New York City to achieve this. He was also pivotal in securing a satellite New York City Taxi and Limousine Commission office on Staten Island.

Co-Owner Elaine Grover guided Mid Island to where it is today by infusing the business knowledge and professionalism gained from her years of working in the banking industry.

Mr. Grover is a member of the Livery Advisory Board of the New York City Taxi and Limousine Commission, the Advisory Board of the State Dept. of Insurance, and a founding member of the Livery Owners Coalition of New York.
